Stratford accountancy firm breaks into music business
A Stratford accountancy firm has broken into the music business – and been appointed to look after the finances of a businessman with a passion for guitars.
John Street based Leigh Graham Associates has been taken on to handle the accounts for Leamington- based Richard’s Guitars.
Owner Richard Cholerton says it was the refreshing, down to earth approach, which the accountancy practice shares with his own business philosophy, which swung the deal.
Richard, who offers a fanatical level of service and is such a specialist he could be described as a guitar nerd, is more a marriage broker between player and instrument than a salesman – indeed he has been known not to let someone buy a guitar if he thinks it is wrong for them.
But he says he wants to free his energy to spend more time on his passion while someone else handles the financial side of his business.
“I was worried about appointing an accountant after being badly stung in the past,” he explained. “But then I met Leigh Day and Graham Beach. They’re extremely personable and show a genuine interest in my business. They’re down to earth and genuinely want to know what makes me tick. They offer the same friendly approach I give my customers. They’re not just my accountants –they’re part of the team.
He has even tweeted about Leigh Graham Associates on his Twitter account with comments such as: “No more stress with accounts.
